Hi folks,

Working through the family heirloom and making good progress. I want to convert the ignition from points to pertronix, as I had some success with this on some older Fords I’ve redone.

The Vette is a stock 350 with no significant mods (killed the fog pump; added headers) and I want her to be a start and drive, around town car.

those of you who have converted to Pertronix or another similar system, which set up is best for this? Also, I had one set up on my Mustang that seemed to eat a coil about every two years and I’d like to avoid that problem.

thanks in advance!

Greetings,  I have the Igniter Flame Thrower with matching 40,000 volt coil. It had been on my 72' for many years. Once installed, it has  never failed to start and run, providing the gas is in the quadrajet, for many miles. I am very satisfied with the entire system. I rebuilt the engine with quality parts, and minor High performance modifications. Driver standards.
