OK MOTOR HEADS, I HAVE A 71 454 LS5 IN NEED OF OVERHAUL.
I WANT TO KEEP IT STOCK. WHERE IS A GOOD SOURCE TO GET TECH INFO. & PARTS LIST. THE GM WEB SIGHT IS NO HELP. AND EKLERS,MID AMARICA & CORVETTE CENTRAL DOESN'T DO MOTORS. I PLAN ON DOING THE WORK MYSELF. THANKS FOR ANY INFO.

i wouldnt worry about being "gm original" on bearings and such..

You can also buy manuals for overhaul at Summit Racing, or Jegs. You can get rebuild manuals without the build up, or with build up.
get the HP book---how to rebuild your big block chevy---it has lots of info for a beginner and does a good job explaining the basics--marty
