I am converting my 70 mechanical oil pressure over to electric oil pressure. I have a gauge out of a 77 and a pressure sending unit for this gauge. I don't have a schematic for the electric oil pressure gauge but it cannot be that hard to wire up. I have the sending unit mounted on the motor. I am thinking I should be able to connect a wire from the gauge to the pressure sending unit. Then put 12 volts to the other side of the gauge and this should give me all I need to monitor my oil pressure.
Does this sound correct?

I just e-mailed ya the diagram for the '77.
Sounds like ya got it handled, anyway.
Might I ask WHY you're going to the '77/lectric gauge?

I had my gauge modified to read up to 100 PSI by a great gauge guy. Looks just like factory and uses the original sending unit. Very reasonable!!

Thanks Joel for the diagram. That helps to see the connections. The reason I want to change to electric gauges is because I don't like the idea of the mechanical gauges running oil into my new interior and into the radio should something happen to the stock oil pressure line. My stock radio was full of oil where the connection at the gauge had leaked over the years. That and the fact that the new LS motor does not have a connection at the back of the block like my stock small block had.

Thanks for the link Luke. I want to convert my ammeter over to a volt meter. I will see if this fellow can set me up on this.
I went to the link you posted and lo and behold, I was talking with him over the weekend when I was doing my speedo. Bill is a very helpful, knowledgeable guy.
