I can respect that. The budget does limit power. And somethimes, you don't need more. Just one point. Don't say stock headers. There is no such thing. They are stock manifolds. And at least for the next several years, I will be running stock manifolds. Later who knows?

Lou,
You would be surprised at what Chevy has done to the vette over the years. I highly suggest getting a book that details the history of the Corvette, and you'll see just how many times Chevy almost killed the vette.
The name Zora Arkus Duntov may not mean anything to you, but in the world of the Corvettes, many people feel the need to bow when they hear this name. This man pretty much turned the Corvette into what it has evolved into today, along with some engineering geniuses, that follow Duntov's vision religiously. The vette has evolved far from the original 6 cylinder wonder bomb that it was in 1953.
Just stick here, you'll get to make your own opinions of the people that give information that is worth its weight in gold. And, you'll learn theough trial and error doing your own projects, just like the rest of us have. It's good to have you here. It's nice to see someone who likes the old school.
Have fun.

Hi there everyone! I am new to this forum also. My 1977 corvette was purchased when I was 18, I am 23 now and probally only put 7500 miles on it! Currently I have bought tons of parts it and replaced almost everything. But I just want to drive it! Whatever you do, do NOT get discouraged, my vette is a basketcase and I have spent countless hours and tons of money on it, still even now I have to tell myself to not give up on it, it will be sweet someday! (Actually this message was more for myself than anyone...sorry)

Here is a photo of my basketcase corvette, I have ditched the ugly rims for some rallyes....

Ahhhh it looks ok yes, but it is still messed up, I need alot of interior pieces and have the frame welded by the sway bar endlink mounts, the body has stuff like sheetrock screws holding panels together and then covered with bondo. Yeah it is a winnger!
I got lucky and have virtually no rust on my frame and it seems to be straight, we will see when I get it alignment done. Thanks though!

Tell me you just didn't say that!!!! Just some dude on the internet.

If you don't won't a good deal thats fine, but don't toss me into the group of internet dirt bags and scam artitsts out there.

If you got screwed by anyone on this forum, I'm sure Adam would give you any info you need to hunt them down and rip them a new one.

From the sounds of it the primary tube size on those Hookers would be probably be too big for your engine anyway.
Everyone knows I'm always here to lend a hand or answer questions. I may not always know the answer, but thats why we are all here on the forum to learn and to lend a hand when we do have the answer.
So if you have any questions or need any help just let me know.
