So decided to check the fuel pressure just before it comes into the forward TB and only getting about 5-6 psi. Checked the shop manual for fuel issues and preformed the following tests:
1) Installed pressure gage between TB and adjusted regulator about 1/2 way and checked about 6-7 psi. THis was about what I was getting before and could only get to about 9-10 once regulator was max'd out.
2) Blocked off return line to tank and pressure went above 25 psi (highest on gage).
3) SM said to check filter or lines to pump
Pulled filter off and installed gage, only getting about 8-9 psi while running. I would think this should be higher so it is leading me to the fuel pump. It is only about 1-1/2 years old and probably only 1,000 miles on it since it was replaced with and 85 model pump.
Checked the voltage at the FP fuse and getting 12v. Checked at the pump and getting 12v
I really hate to pull the pump out again but looks like it is leaning this way. Should my pressure be higher before it goes to the first TB and at the filter?
