I have a very nice set of 194 - "M" heads that I would like to use on a motor I'm building for my '76. I think the casting number is 461X. The problem is there are no mounting holes in the heads for the pivot bracket for mounting the alternator in the stock position. Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket or OEM bracket that will work with these heads? Thanks guys.

Look in the corvette central site, I believe 1966- 68??, look for alt bracket that mounted from the manifold and water pump

The side mount alternator used bosses on the exhaust manifold. You might be asking for more trouble than it is worth. Those heads, even nice ones, are not very high performance. It might be better to just buy a set of newer ones. But.... There are side mount aftermarket brackets for headers. You might be able to use them with little modification.
