I'm thinking of installing some Edelbrock aluminum heads on my 79' L82 corvette. Currently I have the 76cc cast iron heads and would like to go to the better flowing 64 cc aluminum heads. Any watch outs or problems with this?
If you have done it do you know how much HP you picked up?
Thanks
To answer that question one would need to know what other changes, if any, have been made such as headers, intake manifold, carburetor, compression ratio, and valve sizes.

It already has shorty headers on it and the valve sizes are the same on the aluminum heads Edelbrock recommended as my current heads. I am going to put a taller cam in it with .477 lift vs the current .300. The intake is a Edelbrock performer dual plane 2101 and the carb. is an Edelebrock 1406 600 cfm 4 barrel. the only big changes is the 64 cc chamber and .177 additional valve opening. I know you can't tell me the HP gain I was just wondering about any problems I may run into. Thanks
Your compression ratio will go up slightly which will help also. Might have to run a little higher test gas or run less advance with regular.
