Howdy, Im thinking of changing all my hoses to braided stainless and going with AN fittings or a similar type of conector. The only problem I am having is trying to figure out what sizes I need. The fittings Ive seen are all in a single digit format (i.e. AN 6) and I have no idea how that relates to a standard size hole (i.e. 3/8, etc). Anyone know where I can get a breakdown of this?

Thanx

Glenn

Good question.  I've thought this myself!  Even the catalogs assume we all know how to choose sizes without a sizing matrix of some kind.

Vette(s): 1960 (got wiped out in the Rapid City flood of 72), 1968 roadster(sold it so I could buy the 71), 1971 Coupe Chromed almost everything underneath. Had it since "76"
OK,I have a Russell catalog and the sizes are: #4 ID 7/32" (1/4"), #6 ID 11/32" (3/8"), #8 ID 7/16" (1/2"), #10 ID 9/16" (5/8"), #12 ID 11/16 (3/4"), #16 ID 7/8" ID (1"). Does this help? You use a (for example) #6 hose and #6AN hose ends.  LQQK38839.2666666667

If it's not painted, Chrome it!!!

I know just where your comming from Glenn. I did this last year and trying to size lines with the cataloges is difficult. Tell ya what I did. Took my lines to a good performance store and the set me up. I let them do the brainwork. Made it a piece of cake. Good luck, Terry
