New 1969 owner here... The original 3x2 427 has been replaced by a 454. The car still has the original big block hood. Am I correct to assume that the under hood clearance will not accommodate anything taller than a low-rise intake manifold?

Thanks,
Nelson

Vette(s): 1973 Orange Metallic Coupe (orig owner), L82, 4 spd (WR), PS, (A/C & PW (I installed from wrecked 73)), leather, AM/FM Stereo, ran with '65 FI unit earlier & will again some day. 2023 Accelerate Yellow HTC Stingray
Assuming  that you didn't retain the 3X2 manifold on the car then you can get a drop-down air cleaner base that allows more clearance to the hood. This might allow a taller manifold.

Thanks. Sounds like a plan. Yeah, the 3x2 427 was probably long gone before I bought it.
