Didn't read it on the internet, saw it in Hot Rod and other auto publications, if it works for you , great, but because big rigs are soon to be smogged  and have to run oxy sensors like gas  engines Rotella probabley will not have it for long, Zink Phos ruin the sensors after  a while, and because diesel oil doesn't have anti forming agents for high RPM operation acording to publications  can cause oil pump cavitation which can starve the motor for oil at rpm.

Maybe Bob the oil guy's link will help to shed some light on the subject.

For the record I use Rotella..... at least for now. If it goes belly up then it will be 10w40 valvoline and Lucas Oil or Red Line additives.

I drive my car like the classic it is to, but for those who like to wring the motor out it could cause a problem, when people are comfortable with what they do and theres nothing wrong with that, its sometimes hard to convince them otherwise, take me for instance, for years I've been useing cloths soap in my dish washer, I find that my paper plates come out with less wrinkles and they smell good to..................Rolling On The Floor Laughing anips2010-03-14 09:31:14

To all interested
Below is a site that has 4 or 5 independent test of the Royal Purple brand of synthetic oil. They are about 3-5 minutes each.I do not sell or promote any of these or other oils, however the test are impressive inasmuch as increase of HP and torque along with the reduction of friction.

      Very interesting test video's
      Have a great day.
