Breaking-up at 3500+ rpm

I purchased the 1973 vette this winter and finally getting around to working on it.  It has always stumbled at 3500+ rpm so I installed new points, condenser and plugs - set the Dwell at 30 degrees and the timing to 8 degrees BTDS at 900 rpm.  All pretty much standard stuff - but found no real improvement.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It could be wires or cap and rotor.  It could also be a weak coil.

How long since the fuel filter was changed, it could be starving for fuel.
