Yeah, actually, it is! It won't run very well like that, but it do make it sound like it's got a bigger cam in it! I used to do this all the time in the old days, cruizin the street scene! The whole car shakes and rocks...pretty intimidating for those who don't know any better! If I caught a race, I would put it back to where it should be before I ran. I'm a sneaky Ba@%#*d!!

The 268h cam is a good choice for a streeter...not too much, but just aboot right!

Check out the Lunati VooDoo cams.  I have a 60102 and it has very slight lope and did increase performance a bit over the entire RPM range.

I would recommend a Comp Cams with around 216 degrees duration and 450" lift or an equal Crane or Lunati.  The 268 is a little large for a stock L-48 engine.
