Does anyone have any experience with Holly in rebuilding their Q-jet. They are supposed to do them and are closer to home for me.

Several automotive magazines have reported on Holley's rebuilding program, all with glowing reviews.
A good Q-Jet rebuilder was recommended to me right here by Autom8r;
The guy's name is Jim McGowan in Rockford, Illinois.
Mine is currently there for a rebuild, so I can't report on it just yet. However, he has a good reputation with the Q-Jets.
Good luck with what you decide!
Have you tried to contact Ken Styer on our site? Kstyer is his screen name. He wrote the papers on our site about rebuilding Q-Jets. He has rebuilt several for guys on this site for a good price. I don't know if his current situation will afford him the time, but you might ask.

Joe,
Quad Shop ain't cheap nor are they (he, Jim) fast, but he is thorough. He always machines and installs bronze bushings in the throttle shaft holes and if you pay extra, the reman carb will look like new. He also builds them to your engine's specs and takes them to a flow bench in Chicago for flow testing.
.....but don't get in a hurry...
