Joe, No it isn't. You can't get the oil pan down enough to remove it because the crossmember is in the way. Sorry. I don't know if you could get the crank out even if the oil pan weren't there. It's tight under mine. I am removing my L79 now for that very reason.

Joe, It is a lot eaier to pull the motor than trying to do something that important with it in the car. I have had mine out twice: 1st time to rebuild it 2nd time to change the heads and put in the new transmission.

I spun a rod bearing. |frown| I have the motor ready to come out tonight. Luckily, I have a spare motor, so I will put that one in for the summer and rebuild the original motor over the winter, then re-swap them, with a new transmission too, before next year's crusing weather. Joe
