Well, ever since I had my fun on saturday, I had been throwing belts like crazy. I went to investigate and noticed my crank pully was wobbling really bad. Then I noticed the dampner was also. Well I pulled the dampner off and this is what I found. A huge crack that goes down the whole snout of the dampner. Well it was surprising that I caught this before it flew apart. I knew 30 dollers for a new dampner was too good to be true, I guess I got what I paid for. If you plan on revving beyond 6000 rpm, get a good quality dampner. I am putting on a fluidampner on as soon as I am done posting this message. I was stupid for buying this piece of crap! Tumarr38534.7406828704

Was the bolt for the balancer tight when you took it off?
I've seen this happen too many times when people don't get the crank bolt tight, or it backs off. Put a bit of 'Lock-tite' on the bolt when you get it back together, just for safety's sake.(and to save some $$$ so it don't come off again!)

Thats why I always try to buy the best equipment that I can afford, who knows where some of the aftermarket $#:t is made, there's nothing wrong with GM stuff.
