I am having some trouble with the idling on my 78 L42 engine. My car idles at 2500 rpm when it is cold. I don't want it this high. Is there anyway I can adjust this? I have a solenoid actuated throttle positioner I have screwed back in its bracket to lower the rpms on cold starts, but when it warms up it idles to low, and seems to want to stall when in gear. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I got tired of messin' with my carb and bit the bullet... purchased a brand new Demon carb. No more hesitations, no more idle problems. Runs great |thumb|
