hey does anyone on the forum have any experience with spectre cold air intakes for muscle cars.
comparing the price of a stock l-82 dual snorkle to one of their setups is pretty reasonable. i know its not the stock thing to do but i saw one on a camaro at a car show and it looked NICE!. Not to mention the benefit of cold air/ram effect.

thnx
J

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!
Cold air intakes sometimes don't help due to how they are installed.  If the bring hot air from the engine compartment, you have lost much of the advantage.  The need actual cool air from the front of the car.

A common misconception is they help mileage etc.   They do not.   But when the OEM intake system gets to high rpm with near wide open they can get strangled a bit.   This is where the cold air system really helps.    Over roughly 4000 rpm and 80 % throttle.

So if you are going to put your foot into it, they do help when properly installed.  ( I don't know of any of us who would ever drive like that Wink )    Besides, they do look good Thumbs Up
