Sorry for the ignorant question
what should the psi (lbs) be for a 76 l48 engine? 8:5:1
I started my baby up and the engine seems to be missing (running rough) and I want to check the compression..
the engine ran hot just the week before when the radiator blew out..
Thanks
Ken

Ken,
First off..it's not an ingnorant question.
I don't know what the exact psi is. I would think that it would be around 150 psi or higher. But if you are going to do a compression check.
Write down all your readings, then compare each cylinder reading to one another.
If one or more cylinders is more than 15% lower than your highest reading, then you have a worry.
Good luck, Sarge
