Made in China. Unhappy

A few years ago there were some bad reviews about their products.

They are knockoff's of American brands.

I stay far away from Chinese engine parts as possible. My last Chinese parts were a set of Pro Form aluminum roller rockers. Needless to say they didn't last long and almost ruined my engine.

I run a set of GM Vortec heads and an Edelbrock performer intake on the '81. When I had the original hood it was a tight squeeze. Had to shave some metal off around the base of the air filter housing to get the needed clearance.

I believe that your '74 has a little more room under the hood to play with than the '80-'82's.

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
I have found that nothing made in China is reliable. I will not purchase electronic if at all possible if it is made their and if I do I want the manufacture and the seller to have a satisfaction warrantee on .  Exception is if I consider the purchase a throw away item.
All of my computer electronics are not made in China and I surely would not want to put anything made in China on my Corvette.
Sorry about the rant I just have not had anything good except the people that came from that country.
To the point I did a little Internet research on it and nothing positive except the cost was ever said.  That is not completely true, one site said the a few years ago they tested one and it was medium quality but the lastest ones they tested were of poorer quality and some did not actually fit the engines they said they would.  That article was 2011 a year old so they have had a change to get even worse, so go figure.
I stick by my first comments that nothing manufactured in chine is worth a crap.

Vette(s): 1980 L- 82 fully restored and upgraded.
If it was me I would look on racing junk for a set of heads at a good price or ebay , I got GMPP Aluminum fast burn heads new in box shipped for 960.00 . Now as far as pro comp i would look for reviews on any car forum and if i remember correctly when i shopped to convert my crate zz4 to a zz430 a lot of people balked at pro comp because they where made in china yet some who used them liked them,

Have to agree that it's disappointing to purchase parts and find their made in China . Just bought a vibration  dampener from Summit  ( made in China ) . Just reminds me that I need to research my purchases more carefully . This was a Summit branded part and I had no idea that they purchased parts from China .

I just purchased a Crosswind last week. Will be a while before I can tell you if I like it. It was recommended from my engine builder, and it went onto the motor with no issues (and it gave me 60 bucks to put toward the new carb). It will not fit under the stock hood....... ebo

also I went with World Products Sportsman heads.
