I used the control that came with the unit. mounted it on the center counsole just below the e-brake handle. you can reach down and accell and decell resume. finger tip control. when I installed mine I did not have enough info on the factory cruise and there is not any info with the audio vox to show if they would be compatible. I think i called them once and they were tight lipped about a schematic or anything that would show that.

That's the same unit I have installed on my Jeep Wrangler. The one I am looking for has the control switch offered separately.

This CRS gets to be a problem as the mental RAM capacity gets full!

The audio vox CCS-100 has the control seperate from the control unit. It has a disconect conector you pin up during installation. If you new which wires to mach up from the switch on the column that switch could control the cruise unit.

If the Audiovox control head is really just a switch it might be very doable. I'm gonna look into it. Where did you get your Audiovox. I guess that's not what I put on my Wrangler, there is some circuitry in the operation unit of it... it's been ten years ago.... Y'know.... the CRS thing......

I bought mine about 10 years ago at Shucks or GI Joes. you can go to audiovox.com use ccs 100 product number and get the info and a copy of the installation manual, it has a troubleshooting area that might help show what signals come from the control sw.

Judging from the wiring diagram in their manual, I think it'll work for me. I think I am going to line this up on the project list.

Thanks,

Dave

I would be interested in what you find out. I have diagrams that show the column switch. please keep me informed. I would be interested in changing mine.

Will do.... but don't hold your breath, it's quite a ways down on the priority list.... but it's gonna get done.... eventually.... Top priority now is finish getting my lift installed in my garage... then getting 'lectric to the garage to run the thing so I can get under the car to install the pickup.
