Anybody using a Holley spreadbore 4165? Where did you hook up the vacuum for the distributor

Does this carb not have the tube on the pass side, sticking straight out from in front of the choke area?
You would want the vac. advance to have ported vacuum, normally. That means that there would be no vac. until the throttle is opened. Fittings for ported vac. will always be located above the throttle blade centerline.
Manifold(full time) vac will always come from a fitting on the base-plate of the carb, or on the manifold itself.

This has a tube coming from the passenger side of the primary metering plate, and another tube on the passenger side near the rear metering plate, but it is on the main body and opens up just above the secondary venturi (sp). All of the other tubes are in the base plate. I figure i will use the one on the primary metering plate.

That would be the one I was referring to. Most Holley carbs use this for the vac. advance.
