Electric cooling fan

Does anybody know what temprature the electric cooling fan is suppose to be turned on at in an 82? Last weekend I was hitting 220 and never heard it come on.

Paul, On your '82 the OEM fan switch/sensor kicks in at about 238 degrees. I feel that this is a little to warm IMHO.

On my '81, I changed my senser to a 204 degree unit. I used NAPA Part # FS113 fan switch ($20-$25) and Part #FSC10 socket/pigtail ($10-$15). The fan switch threads into the passenger side cylinder head.

Thanks for the part numbers. Will head over to my NAPA store today and see if they can help me. I think 238 is too long to wait to turn that fan on also.
