Decision Made.
Took your Advice KStyer.
Going to build a 383 Stroker. Blue printed and balanced.
Meeting with machinist tommorrow to determine cost and time for block and heads.
A friend of mine will be putting it all together and tuning it.
He`s retired now but used to build engines out in California.
As soon as I have the parts combos I`ll post them.
Where is the best place to post progress pics? Norsky can you help me out?
Bob, just took my block the the machinist yesterday. had a poblem with a couple of rods poking holes in my oil pan. also took a chunk out of the bottom of the block. machinist said he's seen a lot worse. he'll check it out and get back to me next week if it's usable or not. I decided to build a 383 also. going to try it myself though. glutton for punishment I guess. besides, I live about 45-50 mins from Ken. for those who remember Tutor Turtle from Rocky and Bullwinkle, I'm sure Ken will be hearing me say, "help me Mr. Wizard". I'll try to post pics too but I haven't had much luck. maybe Norsky can hold class again.
Hank
Good deal Hank.
Let me know what kind of internals you go with.
Good Luck

Would be nice to know what kind of dineros you guys are throwing into these rebuilds as you go. I know the Pride and Joy is going to need at least a rebuild, if not a new engine, soon, but I really have no clue how much it will take either way. The 350 is just too old and too tired to make it much longer.
I`m estimating about $5g`s for my build. This is soup to nuts. As the prices come in I`ll post them.
Ok motor came out today.
not too bad 3hours.
Off to the machine shop Monday.
Now I`m starting to get wood.
sorry ladies.
Thanks for the heads up on the parts John.
I have allready ordered and recieved a 383 kit.Going to use my own block and heads though.
