I am restoring my 70 right now. I am currently rebuilding the motor, back to stock, which is the matching number block. The last three letters on my block code read "CTD" I can not find what this specification code is in any of my reference books. Every other letter exisits but "D" Can anyone help with this one?

According to the Corvette Black Book, the CTD block code means 350 ci engine, 300 hp, manual transmission. Hope this helps.

Hey thanks fro the reply Gunslinger! I really appreciate it. All my reference books do not have a "CTD" code. I was going to rebuild the motor to 300 hp spec anyways as I knew the car came as that. The block serial number matched the car so that is good but I just wanted to know the CTD spec! So thank you once again!
