Just last week i dropped my cleaned up 350 back into my '75. My friend and removed it with the super T-10 in my driveway over the summer. The position makes it a little dangerous and tedious but it's possible. Remove the hood, fan and clutch, fan shroud, radiator and support, ac condensor, master cylinder, carb, clutch link, oil filter, starter, exhaust manifolds, alternator, power steering pump, a.i.r. pump, ac compressor, cables, hoses, trans links and spark plugs. I placed a floor jack under the trans with a 2x4 between them to keep the trans from hitting the ground. i also place a tow strap under the drivshaft to keep it from hitting the trans mount and to make moving the car easier. Next i unbolted the trans from the mount. I used the engine pulls on the engine but grade 8 bolts kan be used in the accesory threads on the cylinder heads. I also used a 2 ton lift and set it 1000 lbs (the longest boom setting). I also removed the front bumper to keep from damaging it. I used 2 2-ft chains. I put the lift as close to the car as possible. I lifted the engine slightly to unbolt the engine mounts. One of us pumped the lift while the other held the engine back. I made sure to clear the mounts and the exhaust downpipe on the driver's side. Slowly lift the engine until the tail of the trans is high enough to clear the front of the car and push the car back. Replacing the engine is similar although i used another friend to align the driveshaft and the trans. Also it seemed safer to turn the motor rather than the rear wheels to align the driveshaft and trans teeth. Put a couple stong bolts in the harmonic balancer and us a good pry bar to turn it.
