OK I am trying to figure out what my engine came out of. What I do know is it did not come out of a vette. I thought I had a 68 327 HP. I took off the oil pan and saw 4 bolt main which is a 69 block. Here are the numbers
front passenger side 119z353390 to514hb
The back reads 3956618 which is a 350 out of a pass, Chevelle,Camaro, Nova or Monte Carlo
I am just trying to figure out if I should get a crate or rebuild this one?

If it is a '69 350/300hp engine, you might want to tear it down first and inspect all the internals and cylinder bores. It may only need to be freshened up a little.
But if it is all scored up and beat looking in there, then yes. I would do as suggested by "1969 L46" mentioned.
I went the crate engine route with mine 7+ yrs.ago. My stock 190 hp L81 was "hammered." Plus it was only a 2 bolt main and had smog heads. It would have costed way more to rebuild and tweak up the hp than to just buy a crate engine.
Over the years I have done some upgrades to the crate engine with good results. So even if you start out with a base engine, you can always add and improve it as you'd like.

TO0514HB, T is for Tonawanda rngine plant, 05 14 is Month and day and
the "HB" suffix on that engine makes it a 1969 engine, 4bbl 300 horse with a turbohydromatic tranny... the engine casting number
