First, congratulations on a wise choice of Corvettes. I love C-3s and particularly the chrome bumpered ones.
Go to these two sites. The first will help you identify the engine in your Corvette as well as help you with production numbers.
The second site, MorTec, will help you with casting numbers of blocks, heads, etc. whether the engine is or is not correct to the car.

Thanks, Norsky. You've got a beautiful Corvette. I haven't figured out to this day how to get pictures posted. Doesn't matter yet. Mine is still at my mechanic's. He's keeping it until my house gets rebuilt and habitable.
