Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Just bought it from my uncle who owned it since 1971. Fathom green, green interior. 350/300, T400.
I found what is supposed to be an original fan clutch for my '69. The guy can't find any part #'s but says they are the same 1960-1970, is this true? Are there any identifying marks to tell if it's correct?
Thanks,
Matt

I have a copy of Corvettes by the Numbers and fan clutches aren't listed. I have no idea of they're date coded or have any indentication beyond a part number on them. I could find no mention in the book.

Yes, they are date coded. For 69 the aluminum fins are straight (not curved), On the steel shaft, there is a date code. The date would be like "8-19-69 SC" Not sure what the SC is for, but it must be on there.
