Well, I finally bit the bullet and dropped the '71 off at a local rebuilders Sat. morning. Going with a whole new engine Thumbs%20Up and just  bag the original one. He's calling me back the first of the week with some engine options. I would like to get something in the 375-400 hp range. Says he should be able to use my Edelbrock Preformer 600 carb and intake, (?)   depending on what other components we decide on. I'm just not to sure which cam to use. Had a 268 once before that ran great with a holley 650 dp. He did say he was going to use Silv-O-Lite Hypereutectic pistons. Any opinions on them?

Anyway, seemed like a good time to do it since I won't be able to drive for a bit. Gotta be at the hospital at 6 AM (Mon) in the morning for neck surgery. Nothing too major.Dead LOL Just hope that surgeon has a steady hand while he's whittlin' around that nerve!Pinch  Y'all send a few good thoughts my way.....they'd be appreciated. Big%20smile   Dwain
