I have serious chrome envy! I'm working like a madman to get my ride together. For the 383 guys what kind of gas are you running? They used 110 sunoco when my engine was dyno'd. They said would run on 92 so I'm just curious. And 6 mpg are you serious?

I use no particular brand of gas, just 93 octane and a bottle of 104+ octane booster. According to American Speed, they used 93 octane when my engine was dyno'd. With a compression ratio of 9.6, I really can't can't tell much difference between using  the octane booster and not using it. As for gas mileage, don't expect much. The best I have ever gotten was about 9 1/2 and that was driving like i had good sense.

What's the stats on your engine?

MY COMPRESSION IS 10.75:1 I`M RUNNING ON 93 OCTANE. I PUT THE BOOST IN TOO BUT COULDN`T REALLY TELL ANY DIFFERENCE. i DO USE BERRYMAN`S  b-12  ADDITIVE  JUST TO KEEP THE GAS FREE FROM H20 AND EVERYTHING ELSE CLEAN.  THIS IS THE ONLY CAR I`VE EVER DRIVEN WHERE I CAN WATCH THE SPEEDO INCREASE AND THE GAS GAUGE DECREASE AT THE SAME TIME. LOL

Yeah !! Great lookin motor !!  Need my sunglasses Cool
I use 92 in mine with no booster. If you DO decide to use
Nitrous, a lot of the octane boosters have something in it
that is bad to mix with nitrous. I have NOS, but haven't put
it on the car yet. Love the idea about purging out the gills Thumbs%20Up
You can ALSO add some nice color lights to light up your NOS.
Maybe red lights out the front to look like a fire breathing dragon !!

Gorgeous motor. I have the chrome envy.

As you can tell, my 383 doesn't look so hot haha. And I can't even get 10 mpg out of mine driving like i'm 90 Cry

Also I have 11.5:1 compression and use 93 gas with no problems (unless I get a bad batch)
