Been at this for two plus years and finally got around to pulling the original 350 in my 79. Tore it down and measured the tolerances which turned out to be in spec for a standard bore piston. Main journals were good and bearing were normal wear for 29K miles. I decided to rebuild it and have new aluminum heads, cam, dist, water pump, gas pump, rebuilt QJet. Now my question to my friends is where is a good place to get a new crank, pistons, rods, bearings, assuming around 375 HP and 400 Tq. Any suggestions?
Much appreciated.

As for the cam, be sure to get a kit (timing chain, springs, keepers, etc) that is matched to your cam by the manufacturer. Comp Cams & Lunati are a good place to start.
I am very happy with my Stewart water pump, great fit & it moves way more water that stock. http://www.stewartcomponents.com/
Are you rebuilding the current Q-Jet? if so, try http://www.stewartcomponents.com/ he's over by Giants Stadium.
p.s.........Be prepared for "while I'm here." It can get expensive
