This is my first post so bear with me......

But, I don't have a question...just some feedback to this great forum.

Recently had my '72 350 small block re-done with a more argressive cam, pistions, etc.  Put same old quadrajet back on just to have one less unknown when re-starting....started at zero degrees BTDC then adjusted to 8 degrees per the book.....but would not idle cold, ran really rough and I was not having fun....

So, I read through lots of old forums and got the idea the choke pull off wat the key and the vacuum mattered...then it hit me....I had not put the dash and consol back together yet just wanting to be able to get at the oil pressure etc, incase of trouble....well, I had all the heater vac lines just laying there open....

So, closed everything up and whamooo started up and purred like a kitten!  What a great feeling...

THANKS!!!!!!

Bill

Thank YOU, Bill!!!
That's what this site is all about, people getting help from other Sharkies!! Glad you were able to find the info you needed!! It seems like the hardest problems to find usually have the easiest solutions!!

First thing I was going to suggest was to look for vac leaks. Glad you found the problem.
