Just verifying, the only fuel filter on a 72 is that dumb little one in the OE carb inlet? Woefully tiny, easily clogged (yup, not vapor locking but running out of fuel at idle). There really isn't any obvious place to plumb in a decent sized fuel filter...ideas? I have a hardline from fuel pump to carb.

Thanks,
Dave

Hey Dave, I put a filter between the pump and carb by cutting the hard line and putting a rubber line in.

Ya I looked at that but darn it, all these lines are new and pretty. I was hoping there was a break somewhere along the frame rail but no dice.

You can install an inline filter back by the tank, where the rubber line from the tank meets the metal line going forward.

I'll get on jack stands (again) and look for that Joel. It must be up a bit cuz I laid next the car and followed the steel line as it turn 90 and went up....but that might be an ok place to remove a section of tube if I can't get a screw driver up to the current rubber line.
