I just replaced my Qjet w/an Edelbrock replacement to sit on my Performer intake. Im gonna swap on some shorty headers or a blockhuggers. E-brok makes a set of heads for under a grand. ANyone hear anything about em? Any other cam/head suggestions? Nothin crazy... Just more ummph and using a stock bottom end. Thanks!

Edelbrock products are excellent. You should be happy with them. If you check their catalog, they list combinations that will build your engine to various power levels.
That being said, it's more important to get the best mix of parts to accomplish what you're after. Once that's determined, then decide what make parts do that regardless of brand.
As far as cams go, I've heard some great things about Lunati's Voodoo camshafts. They have an asymmetrical lobe design that supposedly helps breathing and boosts power without the loping idle. I haven't used them myself, but I've not heard anything negative about them...just positive reviews.
I think they are a alumn. copy of GM vortex heads, I read something about em in a hot rod mag, if I remember right the mag. liked the heads but the only draw back was you couldn't run a cam with alot of lift because of the valve spring set up, somewhere around 500 lift was max I believe,... I'll look around, talk to Edelbrock.....tech..800-416-8628... 7 to 5 PST

All good advice. The only suggestion I have is that Edelbrock makes an integrated package of cam, heads, intake, carb, etc. That makes sure everything is compatible. I believe they have choices from mild to wild.
