I have a numbers matching 1970 L-46 roadster with heads numbered 3947041, casting A 8 70. Who knows the correct application for these heads? I believe the correct head for for a '70 L-46 is #3927186.

The -041 heads are for a '69 350 300hp motor. In '70 there were two castings for a 350 for all versions, the 3927186 (all hp versions) and -187 (350 hp only) castings...each could have been used for an L46.
If your car is an early production car, and you're sure you have the original heads, it's conceivable that leftover '69 casting heads could have been used since all '70 small block Corvettes used two interchangeable heads.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure if the 041's are original or not. I know the car has had valve work and a replacement L-46 cam from Competition Cams. If I'm reading the casting code (A 8 70) correctly, they were cast Jan 8, 1970. The build date of the car was 2/13/70, so it would appear by date that they could be original.
