There is no way to use too good of a gasket, filter, etc. It's the modifications that you can mess up. Everything has to work in harmony, or it just doesn't work. As you found the hard way.

My understanding is that you can never have too big of an exhaust for a forced induction car. Way I see it, I didn't buy the wrong thing, I just plan to get a blower later when i have more money, I am "preparing for the future." At least that is what I tell people when they try to harass me about the headers ;)

Absurdly. I really don't remember, but I think its like 2" at the block and a 3 1/2" at the collector? Call Jet-Hot and ask 'em what their biggest Hooker Super Comps are ;)
