on the tunnel under the center console is a tan and black wire with a connector on it. I'm thinking it is not connected to anything but not sure.

The only tan and black wire I can find in the electrical drawing is for the EST. I do not think there would be a connection in the center shift console.
In the electrical drawing I got also show a Tan - Black wire going to TCC control What ever that is and is that in the center shift console.
Questions and no answers.

Torque Converter Clutch. The tan/blk comes from the ECM to the connector on the side of the trans, but also "Y"s off to the ALDL connector...which I believe is under the ashtray on the '82?
Don't know why there would be a separate connector for it, but that may be what it is. Do you have a lonely looking connector/pig-tail coming from the ALDL connector?

That is what it looked like to me when I ran the through the drawings. But I cannot find anything that it should connect to.
The ALDL plug has a Tan and Black wire going to it.
Could this not be used with the 700R transmission? Does anyone have an 82 that could pop the driver side cover on the console and see if it is connected?
Where else should I look for that lonely wire to connect into.
