I have an old edelbrock performer intake. I would like to identify the specs for it but i cant find the casting number. i know its a performer but i want to know if its an older design or one of the newer onesscrappy78 2011-03-10 20:56:41

Prolly won't have a casting number, per-se, but it should have the Edelbrock part number cast into it somewhere.

If I remember, the basic difference between the old Performer and the current one is the older has larger size runners. Edelbrock said the new design with smaller diameter runners increases fuel charge velocity for better combustion efficiency. Whether there's a practical, real world difference I have no idea, but Edelbrock does make great stuff.
