Have a 1990 computer controled 350 throttlebody engine the idle is too slow a tends to stumble on take off, sometimes dies when stopped. Some one told me you had to jumper the computer and set the timing (if so where do you jump)? |headscratch|

On my 89 GMC the jumper is on the firewall, passenger side. It is underneath a large plastic cover that has plastic hex nuts securing the cover. Jumper should be marked from the factory.

Sounds like a bad or sticking IAC motor.

I would check the IAC. But to answer your question I did look it up in our repair manuals

Set timing on a 90 corvette 350 CID
Normal operating temp
Air cleaner on
A/C off
Trans in neutral

Disconnect tan/black wire located in harness near distributor. Do not disconnect 4 wire connector.

Timing spec is 6 deg BTDC
Rpm for timing adjustment should be at 400 in drive, or 450 in neutral for automatic. 450 neutral for manual.

Good. With the wire disconnected, set the timing as you always would have without the computer.

If it's hook up when set, you actually set the timing retarted. The computer was advancing it.
When you are finished, just hook the wire back up and you are all set. |cheers|
