I need help finding an aluminum intake manifold that will fit under my stock small block hood. I just installed a brand new 350 425 hp motor in my '71 and the hood will not close. Also any sugestions on aftermarket air cleaners would be useful. Thanks for your help!

The Edelbrock Performer2101,will give you the clearence you need,I used an Edelbrock low profile air cleaner, can't remember what # it is though.with the quadrajet I still have almost an inch clearance under the hood, make sure the stud for the air cleaner doesnt stick up to far, just enough to hold the wing nut on

You can buy drop base air cleaners. Check with Summit Racing, Jeg's or a local speed shop.
I have an Edelbrock Performer intake on my '78 and have no fitment problems or clearance issues with the hood. In your case, the Performer may not be the best choice for your engine specs. Check with Summit Racing or Jeg's tech department and ask for recommendation. You can also call Edelbrock, Weiand or Holley for recommendations as well.

I used the same one with the stock air cleaner on my 73. The measurements are almost identical to the stock manifold but with better flow and less weight.

I have a Weiand 8004 dual plane intake that fits very nicely. If you don't want a dual plane they have others that work well.

Thanks to everyone for all your help! I decided to go with the Performer 2101. I am going to get it powder coated with a clear coat to keep it from getting nasty.
