Did anyone use the Perfomer Intake on their 73 Vette with stock tach-drive dist. I was going to put it on mine but the dist hole in the intake is not the same OD as the base of the dist. Did anyone encounter this? Will the machined dist. bore in the block keep it centered? It does set on the intake dist. hole
I honestly don't know what to say now. I went in the  Edelbrock web site and Summit. Both say the manifold will accept HEI distributors, but I know there is an issue with the base of your tach drive unit that is different then the HEI's. Might be worthwhile to contact Edelbrock to find out how to best deal with the problem. You will pick up some performance by changing that distributor.

So it sounds like the Performer Air Gap part no. 2601 should work if I use a dropped air cleaner base. Is this correct?

I use a Performer RPM Airgap and I can shut my stock hood and it just clears. The trick is the aircleaner, its two billet plates with a Accel Cool Blue filter.

It didn't quite work, meaning I could turn it sideways, until I found the Accel filter was really short.

Some years ago, I think it was Mr. Gasket that made acrylic see-thru valve covers. What Smoke-m has is different...looks like metal sides with a tranparent top. I haven't seen that before. I wonder if they're custom made or readily available?

I have a 2101 sitting in my garage. Took it off to upgrade to the Performer RPM which is  littles taller but will fit with a 2" open element K&N.

Anyone interested, I'll make ya a deal you can't refuse!!

The manifild is in really good condition.
