I purchased a NOS intake. It requires a heat shield to be attached to the bottom side. Looking at the old one it appears to be attached with a "press fit" fastener.
I talked to folks where I purchased it (Chevy Dealer) and I was told it supposed to be riveted. The old one doesn't appear to be riveted and doesn't look like I can rivet the new one. Any suggestions???

That is a press in rivet that you are looking at on the old intake. They are knurled on the shaft and get hammered into the holes in the intake.

Thanks....I removed the old ones and will be able to use them on the new one, once it comes back from powder coat.
Thanks again
