Jim if you have trouble with the hood clearance, the stock (69 anyway) drop base air cleaner works well. Glad you got that bad boy fired up.

Hood closed with no problems ...now to fix the shift points...

Jim did you get it shifting right.. It sure sound's sweet at an idle...Cool And don't forget to fix the wire looms.. don't want those wires getting in the hot manifolds...

Was doing my up to 60 mph coast down to stop and back to 60. On my 3rd time the trouble started.  Kept it below 2800 RPM, BTW. All of a sudden it started missing and running rough.Temp never went above 190.  Limped it back to the driveway. It kept wanting to stall.

 I took the valve cover off one side and it looked fine at a glance but I'll investigate further when I get some time.
