I hear the chambered is a great sounding system, My car came with "off road". I never could determine what that was exactly, so I just opted for the stock 2 1/2".
Now that I'm satisfied with the engine, I can turn my focus to less important things, I need to fix that roof leak! and the loose gutters on the house!

I have my 435 hp out of the car right now, so it's going to the shop soon. Can you give me any hint on what the machine shop charges were? What oil pump did you go back with? Stock? Mine is currently .030 over and I think I can get by with just a hone, as the bores seem to be in great shape. Have the 11 to 1 pistons and going back with the solid lifter cam, as I want this to be a stock engine, as I eventually want to have it judged at NCRS. Carbs were already rebult by Holley and they look beautiful. I still need to locate the smog pump and brackets.

I'm missing my smog pump too, I'll have to get that when funds are available.
Oil pump is a ZL 1 pump. shop charges were close to 3 grand, but that included new stainless valves, new caps, the balancing, squaring the block, pistons rods, new rod bolts, line hone, a complete job on the heads.
In short, we completely blueprinted the motor, you may not have to go as far as we did.
I got my carbs re plated too, cost there was about 500.
We already had the cam, it's a genuine L-71 cam,(NOS) we also had the correct edge orifice solid lifters.
