Vette(s): 1972 conv., sunfire yellow, blk interior, blk vinyl and convertible top. Off frame restoration with American Speed 383 stroker engine producing 500hp plus a 200hp NOS system. MSD ignition. Hooker super competition headers with chambered exhaust.
Bore x Bore x Stroke x
.7854 x Number of Cylinders=C.I.
Example in this instance: 350 Chevy
Bore = 4.00"
Stroke=3.48"
Number of Cylinders= 8
4.00x4.00x3.48x.7854x8=349.8486 cubic inches, Rounded to 350

If I started with a 400 CI block and bored it out 30 over and used the stock 400 crank I'd end up with what???Remember this is a 400 block not a 350. I know I cought somebody sleeping

I come with a 406.774. This is possibly wrong or should I say probably wrong. If a standard 400 has a bore of 4.125 and a stroke of 3.75 and you're boring it .030 over, 4.125 + .030 = 4.155
4.155 X 4.155 X 3.75 X .7854 X 8 = 406.77495
OK Joel, tell is the right answer.

Boy, 406 sounds real familiar. Didn't some one else around here build one of those, or have I been watchin too much of PINKS. Good luck on that motor build.
