I have installed the Lectric Limited single wire breakerless ignition into the stock Delco distributor on my 72. It works great so far, and leaves a stock appearance. The dwell angle reads 40 degrees, and is not adjustable. A very easy upgrade...we'll see how she does in the long haul.

Anyone else use this one?

i have not even thought of doing that, what are the advantages to having one? keep in mind that i have to get out the dictionary with my haynes manual to decipher what i have to do ...annie

This is not needed for your vette Annie, in 1975, GM began using HEI(High Energy Ignition).
The unit installed replaces the old breaker, or "points" style ignition but allows the owner to keep his stock appearing system. Point's system require more maintenance than an electronic type of ignition.
75' and newer GM vehicles allready have a breakerless ignition.
