I would put new motor mounts in first. GM was known for Blah Motor Mounts back then - at least that's the way it was with my '69. I replaced those puppies before I even drove the old girl.

That being said, I would refrain from any driving other than just puttin around, until they were replaced. The engine lifting up on one side will also effect the angle of the drive-line, and can cause some rotational vibrations, as well as the coming together of parts that ain't supposed to come together, like the driveshaft, and the park brake cable...or the fan and the shroud...or a hose and a belt...

The good thing is, mounts on Sharks are fairly easy to replace, compared to other cars.

Most likely if you continue to drive it you will find yourself replacing both mounts (which I would anyway) and possibly the tranny mounts because of the additional stress they are now carry as a result of the broken one.
