If someone with a 78 or 79 (or like year)could post up a couple pics of the AC bracket mount positions and the upper alternator bracket mounting spot, I'd greatly appreciate it....
I can't see it too good on the pics I took... if you can't figure out posting pics, My e-mail is in my profile....I think..

Jim, will you be remounting the AIR pump(L82 only)? If not here's a couple of pics from my black79 that may show what you're looking for. Basically, both the AC main mount bracket and the alternator upper(adjusting) bracket use the upper water pump mount bolts. The alt bracket uses a spacer, none on the AC. The AIR pump brackets piggyback on the AC and alt mounts, some spacers required. If you originally had an AIR pump the alt bolt is actually a stud with a captive nut that mounts the alt and then the AIR bracket goes on after the nut. The AC side AIR bracket uses a spacer between the AC and AIR bracket. I will post a couple pics showing SOME detail with the pump installed if needed, but it's hard to get any good pics with it installed, no room!

I think I remember how the alternator was mounted. The AC brackets have me a bit twisted around.

In the alt. side pic you can see one bolt in the lower bracket that bolts to the head that should give you a starting point and the spacer at the bolt for the upper bracket. The other AC bracket not pictured mounts using the front exhaust manifold bolt. If you're using headers you'll need to make a spacer or stack some washers to make up for the difference in thickness between the manifold and header flange.
