I have been given the opportunity by Dynamic Crossfire Solutions to be the Beta Tester of their new Renegade manifold for Crossfire!
They have had this manifold installed on one of their high performance CFI 1984 and seen 20 RWHP increase WITHOUT a tune!
They need before and after dyno results from a stock motor and my motor is all stock CFI; this way they we will all know just how good and how much HP the Renegade will give to a stock CFI.
They will be doing the install in a few weeks and I will of course post pics and results and keep all the CFI guys here updated.
I'm excited!

Phill, that's super cool.........that IS REASON to be excited. Good luck to you, oh, and is this more exciting than messing with "Hookers"?

Phill, thats great. I, and Im sure, other crossfire owners will be anxiously awaiting the results. The intake looks super and DCS seems to do things right.

Update!
Looks like the install will be done on the weekend of Feb. 7th!
This will basically be a plug and play swap and probably just fuel pressure adjustment and that's it. I already have the 85-87 fuel pump and the inline fuel pressure gauge. The complete motor is all stock with 130K miles. I will have it dyno'ed again next week before the install and a week after the install. They know what it does on a built CFI motor, but not a plain stock. This may be the make or break for the Renegade manifold, but the hopes and projections are very high!
I will keep you informed and post results after. I will also post official Dyno proof when they give me the okay.
Stay tuned........

That just sounds like a blast.

But you're not bone stock, you have headers/sidepipes. That will only help the power increase. I don't think a completely stock '82 will see the increase that you will. Dont tell them that, they may change thier minds.
I can't wait to see how it turns out, you must be like a kid waiting for Christmas to get here.

Kewl!!! I hope it does make a big difference!
I'm curious, tho...will it fit under a stock, '82 Corvette hood?
Anxiously awaiting your results!

Im very curious about the manifold. My 82 engine is absolutely bone stock with many miles but it if makes a significant difference I will be interested.

I actually had it dyno'ed a few months ago, before the side pipes. They are having me get another dyno before we do the install, so the results will be more exact. Then of course I will dyno after for the BIG news.... We hope! The side pipes should not have made too much performance gain and even if it did, I can also compair the new before dyno to the earlier pre side pipes dyno for some more interesting results. So actually I will be able to see the difference Hooker side pipes make on a stock CFI.
Yes, they are sure it will fit under the 82 stock hood/air cleaner housing. This is why they first installed it on their 84 as there is more of a clearance issue on the 84 CFI. It did fit perfectly on the 84 - stock air cleaner housing installed.
We are set to start on Saturday Feb. 7th and will let it setup and cure over night, then I will will put about 100 miles on it Sunday and Monday, then off to the dyno we go!
