My 78 L82 went from a working regular oil pressure to none (thankfully it wasn't the oil pump). I replaced the sending unit and now it is pegged to the far right. Should I get one from Chevrolet? Any ideas?

I'd say that it would be a good idea to go with the G.M. sender, you could swap out the electric for a mechanical gauage? If you do use copper line instead of plastic

Check and see if the hole feeding the sending unit clogged. It happens sometimes. Also check and make sure the connector or wire to the sending unit is not shorted to the sender housing or other ground.
